Hoping to bring neighbors together through music and swing moves, the Mercer Island Arts Council hosted a community dance with the Casey MacGill Band on Jan. 28 at the VFW Hall.

Islander Ari Levitt gave an Eastern Swing Dance lesson at 7 p.m. for attendees new to swing dancing.

Arts Council member Karen Kaser said there was a “sold out crowd and great fun on Saturday night.”

The Arts Council is hoping to sponsor similar events in the future. For more, see www.mercergov.org/ArtsCouncil.
