Dr. Kevin Au donated the art piece to the Mercer Island retirement community.

Dr. Kevin Au donated this sculpture of a mermaid, named “Fortuna,” to the Covenant Shores retirement community, which is located on Fortuna Drive in Mercer Island.

The unveiling was held at the recent resident meeting on campus, where the retired surgeon described the process by which he creates metal sculptures. Au is a member of the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL).

See www.covenantshores.org for more on the community, and see kasculpture.mival.org for more on Au’s work.
