The Lake Washington Chapter of Puget Sound Anglers’ Auction is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Mercer Island VFW, 1836 72nd Ave. S.E. Items include guided fishing trips on Lake Washington to Leonard’s Landing Lodge in Yakutak, Alaska, fishing gear and crabbing equipment. Bring a friend.

Northwest Center Youth Triathlon for 6- to 15-year-olds is from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. It starts with a 200 yard swim at the Mercer Island Pool and is followed by a 6.25-mile bike ride. It finishes with a 1.5-mile run. The entry fee is $40, and includes a T-shirt.
