The medieval-themed Summer Celebration on Mercer Island brought jousting tournaments to Mercerdale Park, boat rides on the historic Virginia V steamship, Shakespeare performances by Wooden O' Theatre and a climbing wall for kids during the weekend of July 9-10.
The Mercer Island Community Band marched in the Saturday morning parade, which was followed by a veterans appreciation in the park, and festival goers browsed fair booths and enjoyed the many different types of food on hand during the annual community event.
