Fitness Boot Camp for 16- year-olds and up, is from 6 to 7 a.m. to Aug. 5, at North Mercer gym, 8817 S.E. 40th St. and Mercer Island High School track. Bring a water bottle. Make it a family challenge. The cost is $150 for 5 times per week, $90 for 3 times per week.

The East Seattle School Class of 1946 is celebrating its 60th reunion this summer, despite that it has been only 59 years since the members finished eighth grade on the Island. The group decided to have the event one year early as the Old East Seattle School may be demolished.
