Wedding: Piantanida-Thorson

Lisa Virginia Thorson and Daniel Charles Piantanida were married on July 26, 2008 in Bellevue, Wash.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Mark and Karen Thorson of Longview, Wash. The bridegroom is the son of Nancy Piantanida, of Mercer Island, and Greg Piantanida, of Renton, Wash.

The wedding ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, and the reception was held afterward at the Bellevue Club.

Mrs. Piantanida received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington in 2002 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seattle University in 2007. She is a registered nurse in mother-baby nursing at Evergreen Hospital.

A 1995 MIHS graduate, Mr. Piantanida earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif., in 1999. He is the vice president of a commercial real estate finance firm in Bellevue.

After a honeymoon trip to Maui, the couple is making their home in Kirkland.
