The Mercer Island High School Drill Team took second place at the Eastlake Dance Invitational on Feb. 7.

The team’s score from this competition, along with its score from the Edmonds Woodway Invitational on Jan. 17, qualify the girls to compete at the District competition, which will be held on March 7 at Eastlake High School.

The senior officers for the squad are Mitzi Aspiri (captain), Clair Goetschel (lieutenant) and Megan Haggerty (captain).
