Island mom graduates

Mercer Island mother of two, Tracy Drinkwater, graduated from Seattle University on June 14 with a master’s in teaching degree. Her endorsement areas are in math and special education.
Drinkwater, 42, did her student teaching at Mercer Island High School with teachers Andrea Confalone, in special education, and Brett Ogata, in math.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master’s degree in business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Her daughters, Sydney Elston, 10, and Hayley Elston, 13, attend Island schools.
The family has lived on Mercer Island since August 1999.
