New pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
September 22, 2009 · Updated 12:11 PM
Deanna Wildermuth will be installed as the new pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church during a special service on Sept. 27. Wildermuth most recently served as pastor at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, N.D., one of the largest congregations in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Before joining Sharon Lutheran, Wildermuth served as associate pastor at Saint Luke’s Church, in Bellevue, as well as other positions in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.
Raised in the Puget Sound area, Wildermuth attended Western Washington University, where she focused on family and community studies. Following graduation, she worked in both the areas of child development and geriatric studies for several years. While she enjoyed that work, she determined to pursue a more formal ministry. In 1993, together with her family, she moved to Minnesota to attend the Luther Seminary in Minneapolis.
Wildermuth is married to Keith, her husband of 25 years. They have two grown sons, Alan and Daniel.
Wildermuth’s installation will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27. The church is located at 8501 40th Street.
