Iowa's Dordt College Concert Choir coming to Bellevue Christian Reformed Church

The Dordt College Concert Choir from Sioux Center, Iowa, will present a concert Sunday, March 14, at Bellevue Christian Reformed Church. The 6 p.m. concert is a part of a music tour of seven states and Canada. The 51-voice choir will perform works by Bach, Parker, Gjeilo, as well as folk songs from the British Isles, American spirituals and other traditional selections from around the world.

Seattle Jazz Orchestra to present Miles Davis' work at Kirkland Performance Center

The Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra (SRJO) will give a performance of Miles Davis' classic 1949 "Birth of the Cool" recording, with special guests Tom Varner (French horn) and Bill Anschell (piano). The concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11 at the Kirkland Performance Center and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17 in the Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.

83-year old finds her 'fountain of youth' in Bellevue Youth Theatre's production of 'Madeline'

This weekend, the Bellevue Youth Theatre’s production of Madeline will feature more than 30 children ages 7 to 16. The show will also feature an 83-year old who says she has found her fountain of youth. Pat Long, a retired lobbyist and lawyer, will play Lady Covington, a stern, but caring governess at Madeline’s boarding school.
