The Mercer Island 10/11 Year Old Little League All-Star team won its division at the District 9 All-Star Tournament Wednesday, July 9 at Hartman Park in Redmond. Mercer Island won all five of its games, surviving extra innings in one game and overcoming a five-run deficit in another while hitting nine home runs throughout the tournament. In the championship game, Mercer Island beat Eastlake, 10-4.

Mercer Island heads to the state tournament in Chehalis, which begins July 19.
