The race for state senator in the 41st District has narrowed significantly. The lead enjoyed earlier by Republican Steve Litzow of Mercer Island has declined. The incumbent, Randy Gordon of Bellevue, appointed to the post in January, has gained more votes. The gap between the two is now just 309 votes in favor of Litzow as of Friday evening. According to King County Elections Katie Gilliam, less than 10 percent of votes cast in King County remain to be counted.
