The Skin Cancer Foundation's Road to Healthy Skin Tour bus will provide free skin cancer screening on Mercer Island between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, July 18 in the Rite Aid parking lot at 3023 78th Ave. S.E.

The Healthy Skin Tour bus has travelled across the country for the past four years, providing free full-body skin cancer screenings and the latest skin cancer information to the public at 85 stops in 25 states. At each stop, people can visit the 38-foot customized RV to receive a quick, easy and potentially life-saving full-body skin cancer screening by local dermatologists who have donated their services to the Foundation.

In the past three years, these volunteer dermatologists have screened more than 10,000 people. More than 3,700 potential skin cancers and pre-cancers have been discovered through the Tour, including 199 suspected cases of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.
