After several months of delays the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin tolling on State Route 520 on Dec. 29 at 5 a.m.
The tolls will help raise money to fund the project to replace the bridge.
Tolls were originally projected to begin sometime early in 2011, but testing reviled issues collecting data to bill customers, which has now been fixed.
Good to Go passes are available for drivers. Accounts for the passes can be set up at www.wsdot.wa.gov/goodtogo and stickers can be purchased at Costco, Safeway, Fred Meyer and QFC's throughout the area.
The project is expected to raise $1 billion toward the $4.65 billion bridge replacement.
