Weather will bring more ice Friday

As of 4 p.m. Thursday, a Winter Weather Advisory is in place for most of western Washington for the continued threat of snow and/or freezing rain. Local forecasters predict just an inch of snow or less around Seattle. To top it off, forecasters also say a thin layer of ice is possible.

Temperatures in Mercer Island as of Thursday afternoon are in the mid to low 20s. Overnight lows will remain the same. Driving will continue to be hazardous.

A warm front will approach Friday for an increasing chance of rain; temperatures should rise into the 40s, leading to complete snow melting south of Everett by Saturday.The temperatures should again reach the 40s.
