Lakeridge Elementary School wins Overall Achievement Award for second year

Mercer Island's Lakeridge Elementary School has been awarded its second Washington Achievement Award in Overall Excellence for  2011. The award celebrates schools for overall excellence and special recognition in: language arts, math, science, graduation rate, improvement and closing achievement gaps.

Winners are selected in consultation with the State Board of Education (SBE) and are based on the Washington Achievement Index that includes statewide assessment data for the three previous years and other indicators.
