MISD board visits Islander Middle School Tuesday

The Mercer Island School District Board of Directors will be holding a site visit on Tuesday, May 1 at Islander Middle School, followed by a regular meeting.
The site visit will begin at 7:50 a.m. with a meeting with staff. The trip includes classroom visits, meeting with students, parents and the administrative team.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. the board will reconvene in the MISD board room for the rest of the meeting.
The board will hold a short discussion with Ian Stewart, who works for EMC Research Services. The company will be working on an analysis of why the recent bond failed. During Tuesday's meeting, Stewart will outline the work toe done and a timeline for it to be completed.
Tuesday's meeting is schedule to be completed at 3 p.m.
The next meeting will be a joint meeting with the Mercer Island City Council on May 21 at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
