Police respond to man with gun in Town Center

Islanders may have seen police officers with their guns drawn responding to an incident outside of HSBC Bank in the downtown business district on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Police were responding to a report of a suicidal man with a gun, MIPD Commander Leslie Burns said.
The man had left his apartment and was contacted without incident. He was then taken to have a mental health evaluation.
