Ballots for Washington voters are to be mailed no later than Oct. 19. The statewide voters’ pamphlet will be sent to all Washington voters as well.

Voters are also encouraged to view the online general election voters’ guides.

Key races for Islanders to consider are the Legislative races in the 41st District. For state representative, incumbent Marcie Maxwell, a Democrat, of Renton is running against Steve Eaves, a Republican, for the seat.

For coverage of the candidates in that race, go to www.rentonreporter.com/news/173939841.html.

State Senate incumbent Steve Litzow, a Republican, will meet fellow Islander Maureen Judge, a Democrat.

Watch for that story in the Oct. 24 issue of the Mercer Island Reporter.
