Two weekends of closures on SR 99 near stadiums

For the next two weekends State Route 99 near the Seattle stadiums will be closed.
The weekend of Dec. 14 through 17 crews will close the right lane of southbound SR 99 between Columbia Street and South Royal Brougham Way and southbound SR 99 off-ramps to South Atlantic Street from 7 p.m. Dec. 14 through 5 a.m. Dec. 17.
The next weekend, Dec. 21-24, the road will be closed in the same section from 7 p.m. Dec. 21 through 5 a.m. Dec. 24. Crews will reopen all lanes of SR 99 and the South Atlantic Street off-ramp two hours before kickoff of the Sunday, Dec. 23 Seahawks game, and will close the ramp and lane an hour after kickoff.
Both weekends crews will be working to drive more than 50 pilings to support the construction of the new South Atlantic Street overpass.
