Groups of brave swimmers welcomed the new year on Tuesday with the 46th annual polar jump at Clarke Beach.

Jumpers of all ages, including many who have done it every year of the event, hit the cold water which measured about 46 degrees on a 42 degree day to say hello to 2013.
