The suspect who robbed the Mercer Island Albertsons pharmacy on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, was arrested by Mercer Island police detectives today.

A 20-year-old Mercer Island resident, the suspect committed two robberies over the past two weeks. The second robbery occurred in a pharmacy in Factoria on Saturday, Feb. 9. During both robberies, the suspect presented a note, demanding oxycontin and oxycodone.

In video surveillance of both robberies, the suspect was seen walking away from the stores. Mercer Island detectives were able to identify him immediately and arrested him without incident when he arrived for a Mercer Island Municipal Court hearing on an unrelated charge.
