New lamps installed in Lid Tunnel over Mercer Island

The Washington State Department of Transportation closed several lanes of I-90 in the Lid Tunnel over the weekend to allow crews to relamp the tunnel.

From Saturday, Feb. 23, through Sunday, Feb. 24, up to two lanes of westbound I-90 from Island Crest Way to the Mount Baker tunnel were closed. One lane was open at all times.
