Mercer Island City Council, MISD board meetings next week

The Mercer Island City Council and Mercer Island School District will hold regular meetings next week.

On Monday, Feb. 25 the City Council will meet, beginning at 7 p.m.

On the agenda is the City's work plan to address tolling on I-90, as well as a discussion of the proposed development standards for the Legacy Partners development agreement. Legacy Partner's is proposing to build a new complex on the site where Ace Hardware and the Islander Pub currently sit.

The City will also look at the fire state design contract.

On Thursday, Feb. 28 the MISD board will meet, also in City Council Chambers beginning at 7 p.m.

On the tentative agenda is a discussion of facilities and capital assets, as well as an overview of a teacher principal evaluation pilot program.

The district will also recognize the MIHS band for being academic state champions.
