City of Mercer Island to join social media next week

The City of Mercer Island and the Mercer Island Emergency Preparedness Program will join the social media world next week. Both offices will go live on Facebook, beginning on Monday, July 8. The MI Emergency Preparedness Program will appear live on Twitter the same day.

The new accounts can be “liked” and “followed” starting next week.

The city already has a Parks and Recreation Facebook page and the Mercer Island Thrift Shop is also on Facebook.
