Mercer Island Parks and Rec to host shoreline restoration design meeting Sept. 10

The Mercer Island Parks and Recreation Department will host a public meeting to discuss designs for the upcoming Luther Burbank Park and Calkins Landing shoreline restoration projects.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 104 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.

The City is looking for input from the public on the design for three shoreline areas for improved access, wildlife habitat quality and site aesthetics. The meeting will help the City get feedback from Islanders about proposed designs.
