Five days of late night closures of I-90 Express Lanes begin Sunday Nov. 17

The Interstate 90 express lanes will be closed to late night and early morning drivers next week. Crews working for Sound Transit will close the lanes nightly at 8 p.m. Sunday Nov. 17 until Friday morning, Nov. 22. The lanes will reopen for commuters in the westbound direction each morning by 6 a.m.

During the closure, Sound Transit will be doing exploratory boring and survey work as part of the East Link Extension light rail project.

In the Seattle area, drivers can check the latest roadway conditions with WSDOT’s online travel tools, such as the Seattle traffic page, the What’s Happening Now page, Twitter feed or mobile app.
