King County elections seeks writers for voters' pamphlet

The Mercer Island School District invites community members to write statements for and against the proposed bond and levy for the special election local voters’ pamphlet. All materials must be submitted to King County Elections by 4:30 p.m. on the due dates below.

· Dec. 27, 2013: Explanatory Statement and Pro/Con Committee Appointment Form

· Dec. 31, 2013: Pro and Con Statements

· Jan. 3, 2014: Pro and Con Rebuttal Statements

More information about the process can be found here. If you or your group is interested in representing either position on either proposition, please contact Mercer Island School District public information officer Randy Bolerjack at least a week in advance of the deadlines outlined above.
