The Circus

is in town

The Mercer Island Preschool Association’s ‘Circus’ is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., April 26, at Mercer Island High School. The event is open to families with young children. There will be pony rides, carnival games, bounce houses, cupcake walks and face painting among other activites. Tickets are 50 cents. For information go to www.mipreschoolassociation.org.

Sister City scholarships

Summer jobs

The City of Mercer Island Parks and Recreation department has many job opportunities for summer and part-time employment. Check it out at www.mercergov.org/employment. Or, take a quick trip to the Parks and Rec office at Luther Burbank Park and take a look at the job board inside the door.

Alaskan Way Viaduct

A public Stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting on the Alaskan Way Viaduct in Seattle will be held Thursday, between 4 and 7 p.m., in the Puget Sound Regional Council boardroom, 1011 Western Ave. # 500, Seattle. The state and local transportation agencies formed the Advisory Committee as a way to engage key interest groups, listen to ideas, and conduct a transparent public involvement process for the central waterfront project.
