Interfaith Thanksgiving Service tonight

The Mercer Island Clergy Association is sponsoring a community interfaith Thanksgiving celebration tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 4400 86th Ave. S.E. Questions? Call MI Covenant Church at 232-1015.

Firehouse Munch and tree lighting

Kick off the season of cheer with family and friends during an evening of holiday merriment with a community tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. at Mercerdale Park, 77th Avenue S.E. and S.E. 32nd Street, followed by the Firehouse Munch at the North Fire Station for live music, Santa photos, storytelling and treats. Fire fighters will be collecting unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots charity drive. Questions call 275-7609.

Christmas trees

Lions Club trees will be on sale in the Farmers Insurance parking lot beginning Friday, Nov. 27. See our Calendar on page B4 for details.

Girls’ night out

A Girls Night Out sponsored by Mercer Island merchants in the Town Center and the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce is Dec. 11. Town Center businesses will stay open late to offer goodie bags and serve treats for all. Check next week’s Reporter for details. Merchants who want to join in should call the chamber at 232-3404.
