Allied Waste has resumed normal curbside pickup on Mercer Island. For those who would like to dispose of extra trash before the next scheduled pick-up date, recycling and garbage can be dropped off on Tuesday and Wednesday (Dec. 30 & 31) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Island Crest Park (5500 Island Crest Way). Yard waste is not accepted at this site.

Due to snowy weather and dangerous road conditions, all Allied Waste operations were suspended Dec. 18. Many residents have not had had their garbage and recycling picked up for two weeks or more. Recycling can also be disposed of at the Mercer Island Recycling Center.
