Police searching for Island burglar

A burglar broke into the Sundberg & Pody Law Office, located in the 3000 block of 80th Avenue S.E. on Mercer Island, late on Jan. 17. After searching through office desks and cabinets, the man stole a .45 Smith & Wesson gun, along with cash. A Honeywell combination metal lockbox was also taken. A digital camera in an office computer was able to capture the perpetrator on film. If you have seen the pictured burglar, contact Mercer Island Police Detective Pete Erickson at (425) 587-3400.
