Plans continue to move ahead for the City of Mercer Island's Sewer Lake Line Replacement Project, the largest capital project in the City's history. Construction is scheduled to begin later this month. Affected property owners have been invited to an Open House on from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 31 at Mercer Island City Hall. This will be an opportunity to talk with city representatives, who can review the schedule and answer questions. This informal meeting will also include representatives from Manson Construction Company, Frank Coluccio Construction Company and Stellar J Corporation, to provide more information about the equipment and construction techniques they will be using. Stellar J. Corporation began the pump station construction under I-90 in late February. Please note that this park site will be closed to public use for the duration of the construction, which is anticipated to be through summer 2010. The marine contractors, Manson Construction and Frank Coluccio Construction, are scheduled to start July 2, the first day they are permitted to work in Lake Washington.
