The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has expanded recommendations for the influenza vaccine to include all children ages 6 months through 18 years, in addition to high-risk groups. This year, there is plenty of influenza vaccine available at health care providers, community and Public Health clinics, pharmacies and work locations. Public Health wants to ensure that everyone who wants to get vaccinated knows where to get a vaccine, especially those in groups at highest risk for complications if they get influenza.
