National Merit finalists
Six students at Mercer Island High School have been named semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship competition, based on their PSAT scores. Aaron Azose, Matthew Johnson, Aaron King, Alisa Owens, Martina Unutzer and Matthew Wiens are six of the 16,000 nationwide high school juniors in the program.
MIHS post-grads
Mercer Island students earned their bachelor’s degrees recently.
Nataly Yeyni earned a Bachelor of Science in education and community health from the University of Kansas.
Washington State University summer graduates of 2009:
Elizabeth Lile earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Kenta Page earned a bachelor of arts in business administration, Laura Rasmussen earned a Bachelor of Arts in foreign languages and cultures.
