News brief | I-405 road closures this week

Drivers should be prepared for late night delays and road closures on Interstate 405 this week in the Bellevue area.
Tonight, crews will close the two right lanes of northbound I-405 from Coal Creek Parkway to S.E. Eighth Street in Bellevue for construction work. The first lane will close at 8 p.m. and the second at 11 p.m. Both lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m. the next morning.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, construction crews will close two left lanes of northbound I-405 from Coal Creek Parkway to S.E. Eighth Street. Both lanes will be closed by 10 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m.
Also on Thursday, construction will be done on the left lane of southbound I-405 from Main Street to S.E. Eighth Street in Bellevue, closing the lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Crews will also close the left lane on southbound I-405 from Coal Creek Parkway to 112th Avenue S.E. from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The various Bellevue I-405 road closures are a part of the Washington State Department of Transportation’s South Bellevue widening project.
