Mercer Islanders celebrate soccer at MLS Cup 2009

Members of the Mercer Island community and Mercer Island High School marching band celebrated the end of the 2009 Major League Soccer season by attending the MLS Cup game on Sunday night, at Qwest Field.
The Islanders in attendance loaded onto buses prior to the game, practiced marching on the field, and stood on the sidelines during pre-show festivities.
Real Salt Lake beat the LA Galaxy 5-4 in a shootout after the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
