Hear from council candidates at Sept. 21 Mercer Island Chamber meeting

The Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce invited the candidates running for City Council to speak at its September membership luncheon. The meeting will be from 12-1 p.m. on Sept. 21 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.

It’s a time to get informed, understand the candidates’ goals and ask them questions, according to the chamber.

The council candidates include Benson Wong and Mark Coen for Position No. 6, and Tom Acker and Joy Langley for Position No. 4. Salim Nice is running unopposed for Position No. 2, and has already been appointed to the council seat vacated by Jeff Sanderson in July.

RSVP by emailing info@mercerislandchamberofcommerce.org or calling 206-2332-3404.

Correction: A previous version of this story stated that the date of the chamber meeting is Sept. 14.
