The public is invited to attend the Holiday Sale of Mercer Island painter Phil Flash’s artwork from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27.

Flash (1918-2015) made a name for himself as a local painter from the 1950s to the 2000s. His family is selling his remaining paintings at a holiday art sale on Flash’s earlier works focus on traditional Northwest-style watercolors. Later works include bold, acrylic abstracts.

The sale will take place at 13239 SE 51st Place in Bellevue.

Flash served as the president of the Northwest Watercolor Society and president and lifetime member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists, Later in life, he became active in the Mercer Island Historical Society, serving as its president for many years. He was named the Mercer Island Citizen of the Year in 1990.
