All Island Park Elementary students contributed their handprints to making a flag to honor veterans, which was featured at the school’s Veterans Day assembly and evening concert on Wednesday.

Island Park music teacher Susan Hamp wrote a grant to the Mercer Island Schools Foundation to have artist Anne Hritzay lead the project.
