The Mercer Island girls basketball team improved to 10-0 with a 76-17 blowout win over Sammamish Wednesday night at MIHS.

The Islanders were off and running with 54 first-half points to earn their fourth KingCo league win of the season, holding the Totems (2-6, 0-4) to single digits in every quarter. Anna Luce led Mercer Island in scoring with 20 points, while Taylor Krause had 12 points, Josie Blakeslee had 11 points and seven assists, and Claire Mansfield had 10 points and seven steals.

Next, Mercer Island will host Lake Washington (7-4, 3-1) at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at MIHS.
