Senn and Thai lead opponents in Legislative District 41

The preliminary results for this the Nov. 6 general election were reported at 8:29 p.m. on Tuesday night.

In Legislative District 41, both House seats are open for election. Republican Tim Cruickshank and Democrat Tana Senn are running for Position 1. Democrat My-Linh Thai and Republican Michael Appleby are running for Position 2.

Mercer Island, Newcastle, and surrounding sections of Bellevue, Issaquah, Sammamish, and Renton, all lie within the boundaries of Legislative District 41.

For Position 1, Tana Senn was leading her opponent with 65.34 percent over Tim Cruickshank’s 34.66 percent.

In Position 2, Democrat My-Linh Thai was leading with 65.49 percent of the vote to Michael Appleby’s 34.51 percent.

Washington votes by mail and ballots can be postmarked as late as Election Day, meaning they could change in the following days. Check back this week for updated results.

Results can also be found at www.kingcounty.gov/elections and and www.sos.wa.gov/elections. The election will be certified on Nov. 27.
