Several Islanders report credit card fraud | Police Blotter

The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in Mercer Island. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

June 19

THEFT: An Islander in the 3000 block of Island Crest Way reported at 3:40 a.m. that their credit card was illegally used by their girlfriend.

FRAUD: At 10:26 p.m., a woman in the 5600 block of E. Mercer Way said her credit cards were fraudulently cancelled, and replacements were mailed to an address in California.

June 20

PROWLING: At 8:49 a.m., a woman said that someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the Hadley parking garage and rummaged around. Nothing was taken, but she found a small, suspicious baggie on the front seat. The packet may have contained drugs.

June 23

FRAUD: An Islander in the 2900 block of 72nd Ave. SE said at 12:29 p.m. that three credit cards were fraudulently opened in her name.
