Suspect breaks into two homes, assaults resident | Police blotter

Sunday, Sept. 16

Eluding a Police Officer: A police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the 8400 block of Westbound I-90. One both vehicles were stopped and the officer exited their vehicle, the suspect vehicle drove away. The vehicle information was recorded, the registered owner was identified and no arrest was made at the time.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Motor Vehicle Prowl: An unknown suspect entered a vehicle, damaging the steering column and ignition, while it was parked on the 3200 block of West Concord Way.

Trespass: A suspect forcefully entered two homes around the 8200 block of West Mercer Way, attempted to enter a third and was subsequently arrested. The suspect assaulted a female homeowner within one of the residences and was transported to Overlake for drug overdose evaluation.

Friday, Sept. 14

Forgery: An unknown male suspect passed a bad prescription and obtained legend drugs on the 8400 block of SE 68th St.

Theft: An unknown suspect stole the wallet of a Mercer Island High School student while it was stored in a backpack within the band room.

Motor Vehicle Prowl: The reporting party was meeting with a client at north end QFC on from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and had her iPad stolen from her vehicle. She most likely left door unlocked since there was no damage to vehicle.

Thursday, Sept. 13

Motor Vehicle Prowl: An unknown suspect punched out the passenger side window of a vehicle parked on the 6800 block of 84th Ave. SE and stole $10 from the glove box.

Motor Vehicle Prowl: An unknown suspect prowled a vehicle parked at Pixie Hill Preschool between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
