Suspect steals pharmaceuticals from Mercer Island store | Police Blotter

June 29

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A woman in the 4300 block of 92nd Ave. SE said at 5:32 a.m. that her car window had been broken.

FRAUD: At 9:33 a.m., a woman in the 7400 block of E. Mercer Way reported that subjects had attempted to gain access to her bank accounts with her Social Security number.

PROWLING: A victim’s vehicle was prowled in the 2000 block of 84th Ave. SE between 4:45 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. The rear passenger side window was shattered, and a gray Prada bag was stolen.

June 30

MORE PROWLING: A victim reported a car prowl in Island Crest Park and subsequent fraudulent credit card transactions at the north and south QFCs on Mercer Island at 9:55 a.m.

LOST PROPERTY: A man reported that he lost his Swiss passport in the 5800 block of W. Mercer Way at 3:12 p.m.

THEFT: Mercer Island police responded to a report of a theft of $181.47 in over the counter pharmaceutical products at 4:22 p.m. in the 3000 block of 78th Ave. SE. The suspect was located, and the property was recovered. The suspect was transported to Harborview via AMR with chest pain.

July 2

MORE MISCHIEF: Malicious mischief and damage to private property were reported at 5:54 p.m. in the 8600 block of SE 63rd St.

THEFT: At 9:30 p.m., a man walked out of the Rite Aid on 78th Avenue Southeast without paying for three or four bottles of alcohol.
