Now that the high school band has performed on the Great Wall of China and has new uniforms (MI Reporter, Sept. 9), it seems very appropriate for the band to march down 78th Avenue in the Summer Celebration parade next July. Our hometown band has declined to perform in past years, but with 10 months to plan, it seems a real opportunity for a genuine thank you to the citizens who contributed $135,000 for the uniforms.
