The Mercer Island Rotary Club has once again shown their support for the Mercer Island High School Marching Band by donating a generous $3,500 toward the London trip scholarship fund. Last year, Rotary donated the money in support of replacing uniforms that had seen over 30 years of wear. This year, proudly outfitted in their new uniforms, the Rotary’s donation will ensure that all band members are able to march in the 2011 London New Year’s Day Parade as proud ambassadors of our community. If you would like to learn more about the London trip, please visit our Web site at mihsband.com. Thank you, Rotary, for supporting students and music education in our schools!
