I am writing this letter to support Marcie Maxwell and to ask you to please re-elect Marcie as our state representative for the 41st District. I am a school psychologist and have worked in schools in the Mercer Island, Issaquah and Mukilteo School Districts, so education is a passion for me. I have been very impressed with Marcie’s leadership on education issues. In two short years, Marcie has become an important leader for Washington’s children and public schools. She is the House Education Vice Chairman and serves on the Education Appropriations Committee for K-12, Early Learning and Higher Education. Marcie has also earned a special appointment by the Governor to the Quality Education Council leading education reform and funding. Marcie’s background as a School Board Director is a valuable asset in her legislative work on education.

I think Marcie works for one of the issues that is important to Mercer Island families: quality schools. Marcie has earned the respect of all current and many past Mercer Island School Board Directors, local parent leaders, and the current MI mayor and many past mayors. I believe that Marcie will be a strong and tireless leader we need in Olympia. Thank you so much for your support and please vote for Marcie!
