A successful small businesswoman, a citizen experienced in public education by service on a school board, and a citizen experienced as an elected official — this list defines my expectations for a representative to the Washington State Legislature. And Marcie Maxwell fulfills all of these. But most importantly for me as a voter in the 41st District, she is ubiquitous in my city/school district. When I have questions or comments I want to share with her, I will see her at the CMI Chamber luncheon or Summer Celebration or a public hearing held by the Mercer Island School Board at 7 a.m. When we talk about public policy, I expect and receive realistic and productive responses.
