It takes a lot of cavalier misdoing for a federal judge to sanction Mercer Island $90,000+ for stonewalling litigation discovery matters.

The Reporter will hopefully shine the scalding searchlight of journalism on (a) who pays the $90,000+, the city, our insurer (if any) or who? and what funding source?; (b) as for any settlement of Lindell claims, any attempted secrecy or file-sealing as to amounts paid is beyond outrageous — this is supposed to be the era of transparency in open government, and hiding from the taxpaying citizenry should be fought tooth and nail by the Reporter.

Wikileaks, where are you when needed?
